Saturday, November 16, 2013 - Food Drive
At last month's dance, while twirling to the sounds of The Reel Deal, we also held our first Thanksgiving food drive – to benefit The Food Bank for Monterey County. Representing the Food Bank at our dance was board member, Joseph Splane, III, who spoke briefly to our dance community on the work being done by the Food Bank and how our contribution would help.
The MCDC organization thanks everyone who made a donation to the food drive, both in-kind and monetary!
We hope to repeat this food drive in May and November each year.

Saturday, October 26, 2013 - Anti-Bullying Rally
Prior to our special Halloween dance, several members of the MCDC board and dance community drove to the Mary Chapa school in Greenfield to participate in the the Anti-Bullying Rally, a nationwide effort to show school-age children and their families that community-based alternatives (such as dancing) exist and how much fun it can be for everyone!
