YMCA Benefit Dance and Open Band Night

Local callers Greg McKenzie and Warren Blier and local band the Crabapples generously donated their time and talents to this year's annual benefit dance on Saturday, April 4. The dance featured an open band. This means aspiring contra dance musicians are invited to sit it in with the Crabapples to try their hand at contra dance music. Every year we have a massive band full of talented local musicians. Contact Bob Silberstein RobertS00@aol.com if you are interested in attending practice sessions and sitting in with future Open Band nights. All proceeds from this dance benefit the YMCA. Come dance or play, have a good time, and benefit a good cause at the same time.

When: February 20, 2010, 7:30-10:30, with a beginner's lesson at 7:00.
Where: Monterey YMCA, 600 Camino El Estero.
Admission is $8.00 for members, $10 for non-members, and whatever else you feel you can throw in the pot for the YMCA.
